Charlene Lo Chan joined Bright Light Marketing in 2005 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Her diverse business experience with retail giants, The Gap, Levi Strauss & Co., Brittania, and Esprit de Corp positions her well to be a driving force behind the advancement of the firm’s operations. Chan’s domestic and international experience provides a distinct advantage to Bright Light Marketing and its clientele.
Chan is responsible for the continual improvement of policies and procedures to benefit company stakeholders; including clients, employees and the firm. Chan also supports account services, manages a variety of projects and oversees the company’s operational functions. She serves as the lead for Bright Light Marketing’s strategic business development and oversees the implementation of its business plan.
Highlights of Chan’s previous career include the successful launch and delivery of 35 million units of a new Levi Strauss & Co. brand to Wal-Mart, Target, and other retail outlets. Later, as director of adult lines for San Francisco-based Gap International, Chan was responsible for building a results-oriented staff that produced substantial cost efficiencies for the company.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Chan holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Arizona. She studied at the Center for Museum Studies at the JFK University Graduate Program and completed the Wharton Executive Negotiation Workshop
